ACCORD HOSPICE 100=STORY CHALLENGE

The Drabble-a-thon for Accord will continue--this time, with a "guest writer" taking over the reins from me tonight, whilst I recover my strength. I should be back on form--more or less--by Friday, or sometime this weekend, at the latest.

Today's story (well, it's actually tomorrow, if you are in the UK) is by a fellow blogger, who goes by the handle of "Jack Frost." I would like to thank him profusely, for helping me--and Accord out, while I am out of sorts.

As always, you may visit Accord, by going to: www.accord.org.uk

Thanks all! Nancy.

DAY 74

STORY #74---BY "JACK FROST," GUEST WRITER

The Christmas Visit

Sitting in the leather chair, he looked at the Christmas tree burning brightly. The base was covered in presents; he had forgotten how fun Christmas was. The door handle turned, the door flew open and the children threw themselves at the parcels, wildly tearing the paper.

Behind, came his wife, who had a tainted smile. He was glad to see her turn and look at his photo on the mantle piece. There was sadness in her eyes, and he got up and left the room. This was the first Christmas since his death. Maybe he would come back next year…maybe.
