Pirate Dance

In the market town, the soldiers tried to defend the citizens from the pirates. As the clang of swords and popping of pistols died away, the town fell into the marauder’s hands.

The town’s stalwart mayor stood before the captain. He was told to prepare to die. “What colour?” “Are you getting smart with me?” The captain shouted. “How would you know?” The mayor retored. Then, the captain snarled, “You’re gonna’ walk the plank."The mayor began doing a jig. “What’re ya’ doin’?” the pirate roared. "If I’m to die,” he replied, “I’m going out in style--dancing the plank.”
