Accord Hospice 100-story Challenge Day 86

IMPORTANT NOTE BY AUTHOR: I found this story too similar to one previously written, so I took the time to re-write the second paragraph of this story. N. (17/10/07)

Thanks to all of my sponsors for helping to make this small fund raiser for Accord, possible. I couldn't have done it without you. Remember, all stories on this blog are written in honor of the patients of Accord, and in memory of Mrs. Helen MacDonald, for whom Accord was such a big part of her life, and whose steadfast dedication is an inspiration to us all. Thanks again for visiting. N.

DAY 86

STORY #86

Doctor Who:

Ala Carte

“That’s one of the most alien, aliens, that I’ve ever encountered.” The Doctor observed calmly. Donna raised an eyebrow and stared down at the red blob at her feet, with one purple eye stalk, and fourteen legs that looked like goldfish tails. “What’ is that, Doctor?”

The Doctor shrugged, “Erm--I..” The thing interrupted him. “I am the midnight soul, the diamond moon, a soldier in the wilderness of life…I am also your complementary appetizer.” He waved a fin. “Would you like a sample?” Donna blanched and the Doctor said, “Ummm--We’ll just stick with the bread and water, thanks”.
