The Rescue of Lady Elise

On the windswept plains of Astrid, a small party of lords and ladies were traveling homeward, from the neighbouring province of Mortland. From nowhere, a band of wild nomads charged the column, and all lives were lost--except for the lord’s beautiful daughter, Elise.

The nomad leader was dragging her away, when a knight swept down-- and, sword flashing, slashing, he killed the leader and seven of the warriors, before they had time to react. Grabbing Elise, he hauled her into the saddle and they galloped away to freedom--later, she'd become a Queen, wife of her rescuer, Prince Haldred.
